Sunday 30th April
What a weekend! Sunday had another good day of racing with some changes of positions on most of the courses. James brown/michael holloway took the top spot on the BIKE Short score and Mark McPhillips scored a huge 800 points on day 2 to clinch the title on the long score. In the running courses Gary Davies/Ceri Rees maintained their lead from day 1 to finish 100 points ahead of second place and Celia Kingham/David Kingham had a strong day to take first by a mere 19 points.
The main field enjoyed a good days racing with a bit of sun and dry trails the second day showed the Brecon Beacons at their best.
We’ve had a fantastic time here for the first OMM LITE & OMM BIKE event in the Brecon Beacons. The trails and paths are superb and can’t wait to come back again. We’d like to thank all the competitors for making the event such a success. You can download your finish line images here. Split times will be available soon. We look forward to seeing you at the next event which will be in the Surrey Hills on 1-2 July.

Saturday 29th April
A fantastic day of racing followed by an evening sat around the camp reliving the decisions of the day. In the LITE long score Gary Davies/Ceri Rees took a commanding lead similarly Janine Roberts/Sam Scott on the short score. We’ll see if they have the legs to maintain this going into Sunday.
On the BIKE short score ten points separate Julian Hemsted and James brown/michael holloway on 470 & 460 points respectively. The long score see Ian Cartwright being chased by previous OMM BIKE winner Ifor Powell for the lead. With both race too close to call we’ll see who can carry this form into Sunday.
In the main field it was great to see so many out enjoying the race. As we passed one of the local pubs it was great to see a number of competitors had stopped for a “pit stop” mid race.
At the evening camp the BBQ’s were going and everyone looked to be enjoying the evening as the sun made a brief appearance making the whole campsite a very pleasant place to be.
Good luck to all the competitors on day 2!
