Alpine KIMM/OMM

   LíAlpine KIMM est un marathon en montagne au score qui se dÈroule chaque annÈe dans les Alpes du nord franÁaises sur deux journÈes de 6 heures chacune.
   En 2008, la KIMM aura lieu les 9 et 10 ao?t ‡ Praz de Lys / Sommand, trËs belle station situÈe entre GenËve et Chamonix o? líon pratique dans díexcellentes conditions le ski et la raquette ‡ neige líhiver et la randonnÈe en ÈtÈ. La station offre un panorama exceptionnel sur le massif du Mont Blanc et la chaÓne des Alpes.
   Soyez nombreux ‡ participer ‡ líAlpine KIMM, car en 2008 líinscription sera gratuite pour les Èquipes venant de Grande Bretagne.

The Alpine KIMM is a 2 day mountain marathon ( run as score class only of 2 x 6 hour days) ) and takes place this year in the northern alps 9/10th   August a Praz d Lys /Sommand, a really beautiful alpine resort situated between Geneva and Chamonix, where there is good winter skiing and snowshoeing and summer walking facilities. There are exceptional views of Mt Blanc and the whole alpine chain.

It was at Praz de Lys this year (2007), in case the message wasn't clear. I assume it won't be there in 2008.

The web site is http://www.adorr.fr/ However, they seem to take it offline when there's nothing going on, so it may disappear for the winter.

Are you sure it won't be there next year too?  The note from Jacques Amiot seems pretty clear, and surely he should know!

I see on the web site that it says it'll be there again, with new dates, so it does seem likely. It just seems a bit surprising as it's traditionally moved around from year to year.

Having said that, Praz de Lys was very nice in 2007---fantastic scenery, a nice mix of mountains and forest, just a *lot* of climb. I'd happily go back!
