Today has been very tense, continuing all preparations and analysing cross checking several weather reports.
Jen called 6:30 pm to say 'we are going ahead'.
Many of you will have spotted flood notices and the updates here supersede all those public traffic notices. Here is a detailed update as at 8pm Thursday, which will be followed by another one before midnight hopefully spelling out all/any new arrangements.
As at 6pm the Keswick-Borrowdale road was closed north of Rosthwaite but is expected to be passable by tomorrow morning. (taking the longer journey around Cockermouth and Honister) could well be the best bet. The several other roads which were blocking our progress are already passable.The event HQ build-up is half a day late so please do not arrive before 2pm Friday.
Registration and shop hope to open as normal at 3pm but please be patient.
Further info will be posted probably before midnight. Jen is still looking into the possibilities of parking outside of Borrowdale to ease the traffic flow.
