Once again it is time for OMM Denmark’s eXtrem maraton in the forests of Silkeborg. As always the event takes place during the last weekend in May. The event involves competitors going fully equipped for a two day event with an overnight camp.
Courses
OMM35
(ca. 2x17, 5km): Relatively easy orienteering. Maps in scale 1:25.000. Controls are mostly placed on roads, tracks and other significant objects; lakes, hills, etc. The number of controls is low (compared to the other classes). But it still requires some basic map reading skills to compete in this class. If you have already completed a 10km or ½-maraton race you will most likely be able to complete this course. Time of first team approx. 6 hours (total, 2 days)
OMM35difficult

Time of first team approx. 6 hours (total, 2 days)
OMM50
(ca. 2x25km): Medium difficulty orienteering. Map scale 1:25.000. Most of the controls will be on roads, paths or other significant objects. The course requires you to have a little more than basic orienteering skills. The choice for runners who have already tried ½-marathon and marathon or similar and are ready to challenge them selves by running in the terrain. Time of first team approx. 8.5 hours (total, 2 days)
